Fresca on Addison is the result of a collaboration between Jenna Sneed and her father, Jimmy. Jenna grew up in the culinary world, listening to her dad give speeches, helping with charity events, and finally working in, and managing, a couple of restaurants with him.
At one of those restaurants, The Frog and the Redneck, she interacted with customers while working the coat room, and helping the hostess. She then helped operate the Southern Grille and eventually became manager of Carena’s Jamaican Grille.
Somehow, around the age of 9, this daughter of a chef became vegetarian. Over the years this became such an important aspect of her life that she became vegan. As did her sister, Kalie. Jimmy did not.
Together they realized that the two worlds (Jimmy’s obsession with great product and flavor and Jenna’s with farm fresh/animal free food) could, and should become one. Fresca on Addison’s tag line reflects the notion that vegetarian food can be so awesome as to not ‘miss the meat’:
At Fresca we’re serving awesome pizzas from our stone oven, sandwiches, hearty soups, big stews (curry, ratatouille, cabbage and chorizo-ish) on brown rice, grits, quinoa, and the like. And honkin’ desserts. And great (illy) coffee.
We’re driven by a desire to shun the foods that the big producers want us to buy. We’re focusing on local – organic – fresh – healthy – and damn tasty. Almost everything we serve will be available as a vegan dish as well, with a slight modification or two. We welcome your input, and of course your business.
Tuesday – Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
